Hi, i'm Ron de Jong

About Me

Independent and analytical thinker with a dry yet playful sense of humor. I value depth, authenticity, and the ability to think beyond surface-level instincts. While I’m socially selective and tend to keep my distance from the crowd, I deeply appreciate the rare individuals who think in an explorative and meaningful way.

My worldview is shaped by a strong sense of justice and a Marxist-inspired perspective on inequality and exploitation. I believe in personal and collective autonomy, and I see technology as both a liberating tool for people and a potential threat in the wrong hands.

I am driven to develop solutions that actively counter abuse of power and enhance individual freedom. For me, digital autonomy is a fundamental human right, and I strive to create technology that aligns with this principle.

On the technical side, I am an experienced developer and systems engineer working extensively with Linux (Debian), AI models, self-hosted software, and networking technologies. I have built projects such as Tiny Server and TinyPass to give people control over their own digital infrastructure and to reduce reliance on Big Tech.
